Preparation
How to book?
I only accept booking requests when my books are open, which is usually announced on my Instagram. I’m usually booking no more than 6 months in advance. In order to book, it’s best to use the Bookings page. The form asks all necessary info regarding your tattoo so I know exactly what you want, and where you want to place it. Keep in mind that I only accept requests for tattoos that I believe I would be just as excited for as you, as I truly believe it creates the best outcome, so please don’t take offense if I decide not to book you for any particular month.
Please read through the form and fill it out as best you can! If you’re uncertain about the tattoo and just want to discuss it with me, feel free to message me on Instagram so we can discuss what you have in mind and to see if I’m the right artist for you!
Where are you located?
I am currently working out of the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles! The exact address is only given to clients that are booked for an appointment!
I'm always looking to do guest spot work in other cities as well, so feel free to let me know where you’d like to see me do one!
Do you only do anime / manga style tattoos?
Anime and manga style tattoos have definitely become my focus, however I personally really enjoy mIcro realism and neo-traditional oriental. I’m always open to hearing your tattoo ideas if you want to run them by me. Don’t feel discouraged if I decline though, I promise that I’ll refer you to an artist who I think would do a better job than me on that particular piece or in that particular style!
Do you do custom designs or only images from anime / manga?
I’m always open to hearing your ideas for any tattoo! Several of the pieces on my page are custom designs made specifically for the client so they can have their own unique tattoo instead of one directly from the source material! If I believe I can do your piece justice, I’m down to design and tattoo it for you!
Can I get a tattoo design you’ve done already?
Well, yes and no. I decided early on that I did not want to do duplicates of tattoo designs I’ve already done. I made this decision because I had a few pieces that got a lot of responses asking for the exact same tattoo. This didn’t sit well with me, since I put my all into each and every tattoo and so the last thing I want is for a client to feel that their tattoo wasn’t as good as someone else’s, for whatever reason. I take pride in my work and to keep up the integrity of my work, so I will not tattoo two of the same designs sometimes, but most of the designs are on a 1 year time lock! So feel free to ask if you can book a certain tattoo i’ve already done as long as its been over a year or will be by the month I’m booking for!
How do you decide pricing?
I price my appointments at either a half day or full day rate. My half day rate is $1200, which is up to 4 hours of tattooing. My full day rate is $2000 and is 6 or more hours of tattooing. A tattoo that would take more than 6 hours can be divided into 2 sessions. If a tattoo takes less than 2 hours, it will fall under my minimum of $800.
Is tipping necessary?
Tipping is always appreciated, but not required. If you had a good experience during your tattoo, many people tip their artist as a thank you. Tip doesn’t have to be extra cash, it can be anything! People have brought me food, snacks, manga comics, collectibles, even art!
Do I need to send a deposit?
A one-time, non-refundable deposit ($300) is necessary in order to book your appointment. The deposit will secure the date and time of your appointment and is absolutely necessary, no exceptions. I usually use Venmo or Zelle, however if there is another way to accommodate you just let me know! The deposit is paid for after I reply to you via your preferred method, so make sure to have the deposit ready within the week of making a booking.
The deposit is subject to forfeiture if the appointment is canceled, and another deposit will be required if too short of a notice is given (1 week minimum) to reschedule (Your original deposit is forfeited in this instance).
How can I contact you?
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to message me on Instagram for the fastest response. If it is something that can wait, put it in the comments section of the booking form.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule the appointment?
Sometimes things happen that change our availability, it’s okay! Message me as soon as possible through Instagram in order to cancel or reschedule, however your deposit may be forfeited under certain circumstances. I require a 1 week notice for rescheduling, and ask that you message me ASAP if you need to do so. In order to avoid a canceled appointment, make sure that you’re 100% committed to start your tattoo journey!
What If I’m late to my tattoo appointment?
If you’re running late, it’s best to let me know as soon as you realize! I give clients a 15 minute grace period for their appointment, but anything later than that will result in a forfeiture of deposit, which means you’ll have to cover the deposit amount the day of. It’s best to plan for the day and not be late so it doesn’t get awkward for either of us.
What can/should I bring to my appointment?
Due to limited space in the studio, I ask that you only bring one person with you the day of your appointment. This doesn’t mean I discourage you from bringing along a friend, as it can be comforting to have a friend there with you!
Feel free to bring any snacks and water, in fact, I encourage you to bring both! I do my best to have some snacks and water bottles available for my clients, however there may be times when I don’t so it’s best to bring your own!
Should I eat before my appointment?
YES. Please make sure to have a good meal within 2 hours leading up to your tattoo. We’re trying to make you best suited to endure the process! I also recommend getting a good nights sleep, as well as hydrate properly throughout the day prior to and day of your appointment.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear appropriate clothing to the appointment. For pictures, black is usually preferred since it doesn’t conflict with the contrast of the tattoo and background. This means wearing suitable clothing that allows me easy access to the tattoo area. Some of my recommendations are as follows:
Tank top for upper arm tattoos
Shorts for leg tattoos
Tieable bikini for hips/thigh tattoos
Bikini and Pasties for stomach/sternum/back tattoos
Zippable hoodie for back tattoos
If you have any questions about what to wear the day of/day prior, feel free to message me on Instagram!
How do I take care of my tattoo?
Healing your tattoo is half of the battle, so I’ve made detailed instructions on how to heal your tattoo on my Aftercare page.
Any other questions?
Feel free to DM me through Instagram if you have any other questions! I’ll do my best to add to this page with future FAQs.
